Michele:
Hello, jet setters, and welcome to another episode of jet setting with me. We are in for a huge treat today because I have the ultimate influencer for Bridgerton On with me. I can see her. I know you can't, but I'm, like, squealing with delight. So Cassandra, I think she goes by at pass Moran on Instagram. She's nodding yet. So it's at c a s s m o r a n n. Of course, that's gonna be in the show notes, but I am not gonna talk and blab anymore.
Michele:
I'm gonna let her introduce herself because she's so cool.
Cass :
Well, thank you so much, Michele. I'm super excited to be on today to talk all things Bridgerton and just to dive in with all of this. So I'm super excited. Yeah. Can't wait.
Michele:
So for anybody who doesn't know, I it's been announced, but only softly announced because I was waiting until today until Cass could be with us. We are co doing co leading a tour in 2026 over Cass's spring break for you Texas listeners, just a little post spring break to some of the fabulous Bridgerton sites and locations. So she's being very modest when she gave you her little bio and didn't really say anything. But please, like, tell us some of the people who have commented on some of your posts, please.
Cass :
For sure. So, yeah, I've been doing content creation on Instagram for about five years. Actually, my anniversary is tomorrow, my instiversary. Oh, woo. It's a sweet five years. And, yeah, I've been doing Bridgerton content since day one. Like, I watched it on Christmas day when it dropped for season one, and it's really been phenomenal. The cast has been absolutely incredible.
Cass :
People involved in the show have been amazing. One of the biggest ones for me recently was I had a post reposted, by Cathy Maxwell, the romance novelist that was then commented on by our very own Julia Quinn, which was incredible.
Michele:
I squealed when I saw that. I squealed. Oh, me too. Fully. Totally fangirling out. Yeah. And, wait, one of the directors of an episode in season three?
Cass :
Yes.
Michele:
I can't say his name because I'll get corrected.
Cass :
Jaffer Mahmood, he's amazing. He's so lovely, such a nice person. He's directing two episodes in season four. He, like, shared some of the stuff with our podcast that I do with Deb oh my god. Deb Kevion. She taught me how to pronounce it, but it's French. So it's intimidating. So he shared some stuff with that.
Cass :
We've also had Ollie Higginson who plays Footman John has been, reposting, sharing reels, commenting on stuff. So it's been really amazing to get those interactions with the cast and crew.
Michele:
So as I said, everyone, she has some BTS that she can share. She gets hints and tips because she's been at this so long. And just to make me feel bad, how many followers do you currently have?
Cass :
I have just over 57,000.
Michele:
Mhmm. Yeah. Okay. We're not even gonna talk about my less than five. But, hey, it's all good. So as you can see, my friends, she is the ultimate person to be co leading this trip with me, and I am so super excited. So we are going to be spending three nights in London and two nights in Bath. So and then, of course, we'll have our travel days.
Michele:
So all total, a week. And we are going to be doing some fun sightseeing in London. Of course, we're going to go see all of the shooting locations. So, really, a lot of them take place in Bath, and that is where I am most excited to go. What about you, Cass?
Cass :
Oh my gosh. I mean, I'm excited for all of it. I think it's so hard to know exactly what feels the most exciting. Like, the Royal Mile sounds so incredible. And that's in Bath, if I'm not mistaken. And just absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to see that. Oh my gosh.
Cass :
I'm not gonna remember any names. But where we see, like, the Queen's Palace sounds just absolutely stunning. And I've never actually even been to England before. So this is new to me where I would get to experience this. And I know that lots of people who've gotten to walk that area have felt just amazed by the beauty and to, like, really feel like you're there in the Bridgerton world, I think is what I'm most looking forward to. And to get this, like, I'm a Jane Austen girl all the way back. So getting this sense of like, this is where all of this fantasy and romance has happened through centuries is just so exciting. So I'm up for all of it.
Cass :
But Bath, I love London, I'm excited for. Let's go. Let's bring it on.
Michele:
So I know this is, like, way out of left field. And last time we talked, I even asked you if this character would be in season four, and we weren't sure. So maybe now you know. But I am most excited to see the Modiste shop, which is actually it is in Bath. Is the Modiste coming back? I love her. I need her to be in season four.
Cass :
I don't know. That's one of the ones that I have as a question mark still. I haven't heard. I have some sources that are giving me some information, but they're not necessarily in that section of the world. So it's kind of a big question mark still, and we haven't seen Catherine Drysdale who plays, Genevieve Delacroix, Madame Delacroix. We haven't seen her on any official lists, any official promotion. So it's possible not, which would kind of break my heart because she's the best.
Michele:
Oh, god. Well, anyway, her the set that is used is actually, like, if I'm not mistaken, it's like a coffee shop and bath that I am so excited to go to because I just think that store is everything. I want to shop there all the time for all the clothes. So just to go over a couple of things. So the series prime location is Filmed and Bath, which is not too far from London, but we will take a private van just for our group. And it's the Royal Crescent is the curving row of terrace houses, which were built in 1767 to 1774. Now one's a museum, and the elegant facades appear all the time, so we'll get to see that. The bath assembly rooms are combined for the, what was the Holbein Museum.
Michele:
I'm probably saying a lot of this wrong, but one thing that I did wanna tell everyone is how excited we are at who is going to be doing this for us. We are working with a DMC called Barton Hill. I met with them last week when I was at the travel agent forum in Las Vegas, and they are so excited that they are sending one of their actual planners who is gonna be working with me on the trip to come with us because she is so excited. And we are going to be using Paul, who is a tour guide specifically in Bath who does nothing but Bridgerton tours. So all very exciting. And if you're not excited yet, listeners, friends, you better get there because we only have spots for 10 people. 10. Maybe 12 if we stretch it to a bigger coach.
Michele:
But like, all the famous carriages that we see, this is something else that Cas posts about when she sees them on set. Like everybody has their own carriage. So she can tell me where Colin's gonna be based on his carriage.
Cass :
Yeah. It's very fun to dig in and find all of those, like, little BTS details. And I know so, like, the term that I've kind of coined in the fandom has for this time is Fridgerton because we're out in the cold waiting for more Bridgeton content. And I know that that's super hard for all of us because it's a long wait, but there really is something super special, I think, about searching for all of the little clues and, you know, looking at the filming locations and everything and trying to piece those things together. So that's absolutely one of my favorite things to do is to dive in, see all those tiny little details and extrapolate wild theories and sometimes get them right and sometimes get them very wrong, but it's fun.
Michele:
And how much time do you spend doing this, Cass? Because I was shocked when I found out this is not your full time gig.
Cass :
Yeah. So I am I am a teacher. I teach high school. So quite quite a bit of time. This is its own job for sure. It depends when it's, like, in the middle of Bridgerton season, like, when the show is releasing or when they're doing promo and everything. It's a lot. It's many hours a day devoted to that and digging apart everything.
Cass :
When we're kind of in the off season, like now, it's kind of a when it rains, it pours situation. And the rest of the time is just, you know, oh, you know, a video here and there and whatever. And we come up with ideas and I talk about other shows. But in the middle of in the middle of Bridgerton season, it's extremely busy, and I feel like I eat, sleep, and breathe Bridgerton. So
Michele:
Okay. And I have one other bone to pick because you're a pollen girl. You make that very clear on your podcast, and your co podcaster is a Kimi Anthony girl. Am I saying that correct? Flip.
Cass :
I'm the Kimi one. Oh. She's our resident Paulin girl, which I love Paulin very much as well.
Michele:
But Why isn't anyone on board with Daphne? Like, she is still my favorite. I love Daphne. And, of course, you know, Rajeen, he was something special. And they are I mean, they have obviously both moved on to other things, but I first loved the actress who played Daphne when she was in Younger. Like, I love Younger. So She's very fabulous. Yeah. But nobody is excited.
Michele:
Like, nobody like, I don't even know what their couple name is.
Cass :
Well, they have two. They're Daphne or Safne. I'm a saf like, I like to say Safne for them. I think that's cute. I think, like, there's a lot of really good about them. I think for me, where I got a little bumpy was that their relationship is maybe not the healthiest consent wise. And that kind of bumped things for me where I was like, not my favorite. And And I think it's hard because they're not on the show anymore.
Cass :
But, like, it's so good because we know we're gonna see more Kate and Anthony. We know we're gonna see more Penelope and Colin. So it's really easy to stick with them and keep talking about them because, oh, we're looking forward. And it is a little sad that
Michele:
we don't have any any Daphne
Cass :
or Simon anymore. And they're doing great, and we love them and wish them the best and no ill will because they're fabulous, and they gave us this incredible first season of Bridgerton.
Michele:
That happened the same way in the books. Right? Yeah. I mean, I've read them all, but sometimes they do kinda run together.
Cass :
Yeah. They don't show up very much. I can only remember I'm gonna say one scene with Simon that he has like lines in after his story and then maybe three or four with Daphne across all the books. So they're not there. Kate and Anthony are there a little bit more just cause they're, you know, head of the household. Colin's there in his siblings' books several times. Good. Yeah.
Cass :
The, the books are pretty focused on the individual couples.
Michele:
And for anybody out there who isn't following it as closely as I do, and I mean, even more so that you do, I get all my information from you, to be honest. What, who we are getting Benedick's story.
Cass :
Yes.
Michele:
And we're gonna see his country home, the cottage, correct?
Cass :
Yeah. So my cottage, which is hilarious and ironic because it's a mansion and it's not a cottage. They're doing it at Lostley Park in, oh, I think it's in Surrey. But yeah. So that's gonna be really interesting because Benedict has his little country home and he has, very famously from the books, a lake nearby that he goes for a nice little mister Darcy style swim in.
Michele:
Oh. So Oh, yes.
Cass :
There's gonna be some good stuff coming in season four
Michele:
Yes.
Cass :
For the best girlies.
Michele:
So you brought up mister Darcy and, of course, Colin Firth in that role and that slim. That was epic. That was on PBS, if I recall, or it started on BBC, but now Americans watch it on PBS. More like me, you have the DVD set. But that is something that we absolutely have talked about adding something, some other components to our trip. So some things that are going to be made available is going to High Tea at Highclere Castle, which is where Downton Abbey has filmed the outside shots. Or while we're in London, we can do high tea with a real life royal. Of course, we're gonna go to Mayfair, which has the best shopping in London.
Michele:
And some of us wanna do some real castle Windsor Castle seeing, you know, on the way to Bath, that's something we can do. So super excited. Is there anything you've never been before? Like, what are you most excited about?
Cass :
Oh my goodness. I mean, Highclere Castle is super excited. I also I mean, I feel like Stonehenge. Like, that's one of the things, like, I have to see that like, I I'm gonna have to touch a standing stone to see if it takes me back to Jamie from Outlander because I'm an Outlander girlie, like, all the way back.
Michele:
Ah, okay. So So Yeah.
Cass :
Yeah. That sounds very fun. But, oh my gosh, I'm up for all of it. Like, I just it's funny because not that I haven't, like, wanted to go to England, but it's never been like I've never planned a vacation there. And so I just so open to outside of the filming locations. Like, yeah, I believe. I have faith that everything we go and see is gonna be just so much fun.
Michele:
Yes. In case you guys hadn't figured out, she's gonna, like, tell all the Bridgerton stories and I'll do the planning of the hotels and all of that, the logistics. And so I should go ahead and announce the dates because I did say we are going based on the West Coast Spring break, which is kind of exciting for me because it's it's late, and it means it'll be hotter here at home, so better to escape the weather. So we are planning to depart The US on March, and that's 2026, everyone. We're not talking about, like, what just passed. And then we will arrive in The UK on March 28 and then return home on April 4. For those that aren't encumbered by spring break, we can always you and I can have a chat. But you can look for the link to sign up or show your interest.
Michele:
It'll be in the show notes. Also, where you follow CAS and any other tidbits or information.
Cass :
Yeah. I just can't wait to to dive in and really see, like, all of the places that make the show so magical, like the aesthetics and the view of Bridgerton, I think is almost a character in of itself.
Michele:
Definitely. I agree. Yeah.
Cass :
Yeah. I just can't wait. And I I'm hoping, fingers crossed, that either by the time we get to April, either we will have season four or we will be very, very close to it. So there's gonna be, I feel like, just so much to talk about and so much to love and obsess over by the time we're there.
Michele:
I know. I I have my hopes that it's gonna drop in February. So if they do half in February and half in March, then it will have just aired, and, of course, we will all binge it and watch it the first day it drops. So then we'll be super pumped and excited. So that's it for me today. Don't forget to go and follow Cass, for all her insider BTS stuff. It's she's so fantastic on Instagram, you guys. I can't even tell you.
Michele:
Like, that's how I found her, and that's how I reached out to her. And she didn't think I was crazy. So that's always good.
Cass :
Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. It was so good to be here.
Michele:
Oh, thank you, Cass. I appreciate your time so much, and I can't wait till we plan more.
