Hello, jet setters, and welcome back to another episode of Jet Setting with me. Yes, you are correct. It is still me, Michele, here for making Memories travel, your passport to extraordinary adventures and your wanderlust instigator. Yes, I do know, like, I sound like. Take your animal of choice, a frog or a goat. Either one, I got it. It is because today is my last day of steroids for bronchit, which kind of inspired today's episode. So stay with me, Julia Levine.
Shout out to my fabulous podcast producer, who I am especially grateful for today of all days is going to make me sound great. I just got off the ultimate travel roller coaster, which is why I sound so fabulous. So I thought, as I said, it inspired today's episode. I would share a little behind the scenes of how I wound up with this sexy voice I've got going on. So since September 12, I have been practically living out of my suitcase. In fact, today as we speak, I am packing for another trip and I haven't really unpacked from my last one, so I'm just kind of like, repacking. I did do laundry, though. I did do laundry.
I have had some amazing but very, very whirlwind trips. I came home from scouting, the Bridgerton Springs soiree in Europe, and then I zoomed off to Cancun for the Ascent Conference. And after a very few days at home enough to do laundry, it was off to Palm Springs for the International Gay and Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Q Ally Conference as a hosted rep with Signature. It was such an incredible, amazing experience. Next year, their conference is in Portugal, and I really, really hope to go, just because I'm such an ally and I met some really great people and it was just a fabulous experience. But coming home from Palp Springs, I barely caught my breath, turned the laundry, turned the suitcase. I flew to Costa Rica, basically for a long weekend. Not even a long weekend, like a day and a half for the World Romance and the WIPA conference to discuss about teaching destination wedding planners about Jewish weddings.
Great, great time. I got to re. Engage, pun intended, with a bunch of my engaged friends. I got to see my female allies friends. I spent time with my mentor, Jen Donches. It was just, even though it was such a short trip, it was so meaningful and so great and I was so glad to do it. Just two nights. Yeah.
With barely a moment to rest. I literally got home at like 11:30 at night from Costa Rica, and I left at 8 in the morning the next day to fly back to that coastline, to Miami, to then board The Virgin Voyages Scarlet lady for a group of nearly 100 sailors with the Matchmaker Alliance. My clients I had such an incredible time being a part of their conference. It's been on my socials a little bit. I've been sharing their posts. It was another magical conference and I got to be a very small part of it. And I am so grateful. Like today of all days, I'm recognizing how grateful I am to be a part of making other people's memories.
It's just incredible. But so Fast forward to November 12th and your girl, aka me. Exhausted, under the weather, battling bronchitis. It hit me hard how important it is to recover and be resilient after such a chaotic travel schedule. So I'm sharing with you my top three travel recovery tips so that you can bounce back after your busy holiday travels and the chaos of this busy season that we all love but probably burn the candle at both ends for so tip 1 hydrate like a pro. Travel and holiday indulgences. They can really drain our body's hydration. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize plenty of water.
It helps out flush the toxins reset. I use propel so that I am constantly having. What are they called? The. The good waters. The. Yeah. Anyway I use propel. Some people use lemon or cold tea bre like just to help keep up that hydration.
Tip 2 Move mindfully and get fresh air. This is a really biggie. After hours on planes or in conference rooms and ballrooms. Gentle movement, fresh air, vitamin D. It literally wakes up your body and your mind. Like I know this past week without going to spin at all. It has really hurt my mood and my body and I'm so excited to go back and move my body and to get out in the fresh air and finally prioritize your rest. And maybe a little digital detox is good.
That rest is non negotiable and shutting off your screens before bed, giving myself permission to truly unwind. Read a book that is my go to plan for how I get a full 8 plus hours of sleep regardless of what time zone I'm in. So thanks for listening everyone. I am wishing you a joyful a restful Thanksgiving. May your days be filled with gratitude and until next time, make every journey a memory worth saving.
